About us
“SECOND HAND, NOT SECOND CHOICE”
Every LEGO purchase tells a story that goes beyond the bricks. By choosing pre-owned, you conserve resources, reduce waste, and support meaningful work for people with disabilities. Pre-owned LEGO isn't second-rate — it's packed with history, creativity, and opportunities to bring joy to new builders everywhere.

Our mission
At Gebruiktspeelgoed.nl, people come first.
We create a place where residents of ’t Kastheel can learn, work, and grow—with guidance, structure, and real opportunities to belong. What we earn doesn’t disappear into a system; it flows back into development, confidence, and connection.
That’s why we sell pre-owned LEGO. It fits who we are. We give bricks a second life, carefully check and prepare them, and make them available again as something you can truly build on—accessible, dependable, and conscious.
So every order is more than a parcel on your doorstep. It helps create meaningful workdays, steady routines, and real learning moments for the people behind the process at ’t Kastheel. Your purchase supports guidance and structure, builds confidence step by step, and strengthens the connection between our store and the community around it. And yes—it also means less waste and a new life for pre-owned bricks. A small choice that keeps giving back—brick by brick.

Purpose in every purchase

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WORK
What you notice in your order — the neatness, the care, the attention to detail — is the result of real people doing meaningful work. In and around the store, residents and participants at ’t Kastheel take steps toward greater independence and participation in society, supported with the guidance they need.
Everyone brings their own pace and strengths. Some are great at sorting and creating structure; others excel at checking, counting, assembling, or packing. Because the work is made up of clear, manageable steps, it creates room to grow: taking responsibility, working together, building routines, and feeling proud of something that’s on its way to someone who will truly enjoy it.
And that’s where the connection with you comes in. As a customer, you’re not just a builder — you’re part of that chain. Your choice gives this work meaning. You buy LEGO that gets a second life, and you help someone else take their next step, too.

Frequently Asked Questions
Important information about the condition, completeness, and shipping of our LEGO products.
Where do LEGO products come from?
Our LEGO products are sourced through purchases from private collectors, families, and partners who offer sets and minifigures in different conditions. If you’d like to sell LEGO to us, please get in touch — we’ll gladly explain the process.
Are all parts original LEGO?
Yes — all parts we sell are original LEGO. If you ever believe you’ve received a non-genuine item, please contact us right away. We do our utmost to prevent this and we’ll gladly look into it and make it right.
Are LEGO sets complete with stickers?
We try to include stickers as completely as possible, but we can’t guarantee sticker completeness for pre-owned sets
How do we check completeness and condition?
We check every item by hand using a clear quality process. Sets are counted and inspected, missing pieces are noted (and completed when possible), and all parts are checked for damage or heavy wear. We clean items when needed and always describe the condition clearly—so you know exactly what you’re buying. Please note: we don’t guarantee the completeness or condition of stickers.
What are the shipping times and costs?
We aim to ship your order within 2 business days. If you have a deadline, please let us know. Delivery time depends on the carrier, but in most cases it takes 1–2 business days after dispatch. During peak periods (such as holidays), shipping and delivery may take longer. Shipping costs are €6.95.
Can I pick up my order in-store? How does it work?
Yes, you can. During checkout, choose Pick up in store as your delivery option. No shipping costs will be charged, and you can collect your order in our store.
Do you ship internationally (e.g., Belgium / EU)?
At the moment, we only ship to the Netherlands and Belgium.
Are defects photographed?
Most of our product images are standard photos and may not show the exact item you will receive. The exception is minifigures — these listings use real photos of the actual item.If you have questions about defects, condition, or quality, please contact us — we’re happy to check the specific item for you.
How does the return policy work?
Returns are always handled in consultation with one of our team members. Please contact us first so we can discuss the options and guide you through the process. In principle, return shipping costs are paid by the customer — unless we have made a mistake or the item was not as described.
